The theatre started its metamorphosis and eventual degradation.

Through the years the conjoined buildings housed a theatre, apartments, restaurant, dry cleaners and law offices.

When Chad Cunningham encountered the building in November, 2015, it was slated for destruction.

The Ranger Historical Preservation Society owned the building but did not have the funds for  restoration.

Chad was happy to take the old building. The RHPS was overjoyed to deed it to someone who was interested in preserving it's history.

Chad and his crew quickly demolished the rotting interior of the building. The only thing left standing were walls and facade.

6 months later the building was restored. It's latest incarnation is The Lone Star Theatre Bar.

The Lone Star Theatre Bar is a live music venue, bar, patio, restaurant, dinner theatre, sports ball and pool hall.

Our once a year festival commenced on May 2016. The inaugural event included:

Cory Morrow, Cody Canada and the Departed, Sunny Sweeney,

Dirty River Boys, Shane Smith and the Saints, Mike and the Moonpies, Bri Bagwell and Stephen Chadwick. The VIP experience includes a private show with Charlie Robison.

Now we offer live music most Friday, Saturday and Sundays. We have Karaoke on Thursdays.
